Rubbly talus and rocky slopes of the subalpine mountain belt are the natural habitat areas of the Altai onion. In the picture: thickets of the Altai onion on the stony slope of the Baikal Mountain Ridge. Within Baikal area this onion specie is called in different ways - tatarka, sagono.
