With its vwstness and depths, heavy storms, abrupt, rocky shores Baikal
extremely resembles the sea. In ancient time people used to call Baikal
the sea only.
In the picture: In the motor boat is my good friend, experienced
fisherman Vladimir Bocharov. In the 8th of March 2002 his car felt into
the ice crack and sunk in this place. Only three from 5 passengers of
the car were saved, Vladimir and his wife died. The picture was taken
in 2000.
